OUR AMAZING NEW SLIP GRIPS

For as long as we have been making pendants, we have been providing adjustable cords. People have appreciated the flexibility of wearing their piece either long or short.

The hand-tied slip knots, however, have not always been easy and, over the years, we have found knot-tying to be brutal on our fingers. There have been other worries as well. If the knots are too tight, they do not slide. If they are too loose, they come undone. Over time the ends of the cord begin to fray and look grubby. For years we have tried to find an alternative to hand-tied knots but nothing better existed. Until now.

We have developed our own unique slip grip. This is a simple, yet amazingly precise and useful, piece of equipment that, for now, is only available on Metal Ice pendants.

It cleanly encloses the end of the cord so there is no fraying. The grip is durable enough that the cord can be re-sized endlessly but, for safety reasons, has been designed to break apart at 25 pounds pressure. It contains no metal, is non-allergenic and slides smoothly as the cord ages.

Developing this device has taken an incredible amount of time and money but we can finally say the whole process of invention has been a success. We are proud to assemble our new pendants with the Metal Ice Slip Grips. Enjoy them.
